Tenants begin moving into Uncommon luxury apartments in Old Town

FORT COLLINS — Residents have begun moving into Uncommon, an apartment complex with retail spaces for lease in Fort Collins.

Fort Collins-based Dohn Construction Inc. has completed construction of the six-story, 180,000-square-foot building at 302 S. College Ave., in Old Town. The site, at the southeast corner of College Avenue and Olive Street, previously had a Perkins restaurant. Construction on the approximately $13 million project began in spring 2016.

Floors two through six have 120-luxury units. Furnished and unfurnished apartments range from studios to three-bedrooms, with monthly rental rates ranging from about $1,300 to $2,500.

How dispatchable resources enable the clean energy transition

Platte River must prepare for the retirement of 431 megawatts (MW) of dispatchable, coal-fired generation by the end of the decade and address more frequent extreme weather events that can bring dark calms (periods when there is no sun or wind).

On the ground floor, there is approximately 7,000 square feet of space available for lease to retailers and restaurateurs. There also is a bike room with 205 bike racks and two bike workstations for its tenants. The complex also has underground parking.

Uncommon’s tenants have access to two courtyards, a fitness center, a rock-climbing wall and an entertainment room. The building has a room with a ski and snowboard simulator, boot-drying rack and lockers for snow sports gear.

“Uncommon is an apt name for this project,” said Doug Dohn, president of Dohn Construction. “Uncommon is a lively and luxurious addition to this area. We are proud to have built it.”

Dohn Construction partnered with Chicago-based property owners CA Ventures and Colorado architecture firm Oz Architecture.
